Balint Groups for CTs
Balint groups are a curriculum item for CT trainees. This page in time will contain resources about Balint group relevance to psychiatric training. For now here is a link to the Balint Society page with a good historical overview .
Update for COVID times
During this troubling time of pandemic it is quite important that we continue to have a confidential reflective space for continuing discourse on doctor - patient relationship. Balint groups are therefore going to continue every Wednesday at 15:00 over a video link. The link is going to be sent to you either by me or by the higher trainee in psychotherapy who will run the groups most of the time.
Note for using ZOOM video link. If we are using that, please observe the following precautions:
- Never share the meeting
passwordon any social media publicly
- this applies to the host and all participants
- Always use password for a meeting - distribute it to invitees only via private messages or e-mails.
- The host can use a
waiting room- whereby any participant will be admitted only after the host approves
And please those who have presented - do not forget to submit your WPBA forms.
Location: Virtual. Previously it used to be the Group room at the back of the Halliwick Unit in the corridor farthest from the entrance, opposite to the Conference room 2.
Time: 15:00 on Wednesdays.
